Vocational Studies

Warrensburg Central School offers a 4 unit sequence in Vocational Education through the Southern Adirondack Vo-Tec Center (BOCES). These vocational courses are an extension of the WCS curriculum and are available to students in grades 11 and 12. Prerequisite: Introduction to Occupations I.

During the early spring of each year, 10th and 11th grade students will have the opportunity to visit the Vo-Tec Center to discuss offerings in the program. The high school counselors and personnel at the Vo-Tec Center will gladly discuss the various programs with interested students. Some of the questions which the interested student should consider are: Do I have a sincere interest in this field? Do I feel that this is an area in which I want to make my living after successful completion of my training? Am I willing to put in the effort to be successful?

Individual brochures published by the Southern Adirondack Vo-Tec Center are available in the Guidance Office with descriptions of all vocational course offerings.
